It was a cold tonight Monday, but the girls played great to open the season with a 5-0 shutout over Rushville. Each match was won in straight sets. 1S - Peyton Blessinger won 6-3, 6-3 2S - Ashlynn Blessinger won 6-2, 6-0 3S - Watkuweis Watson won 6-1, 6-0 1D - Emma Harris/Cadence Armacost won 6-4, 6-3 2D - Chelsie Groce/Lauren Gilman won 6-2, 6-1 JV also won 9-2. Singles winners were Cloe Poe, Delaney Ryan, and Adalyn Vail, and the doubles teams of Lydia Razor/Kaylee Tipton, Abby Moore/Makayla Flynn, Laynie Lawson/Evelyn Bergacs, Emmarie Murphy/Catherine Lanzer, and Kyla Abbott/Rylee Miller. Both teams, 1-0, will face Connersville at home on Tuesday at 5:30.
