Our team season came to an end Tuesday night after a valiant effort against a very good New Palestine team. This was the same team that beat us 5-0 in the regular season, but we were able to push the Dragons to a close 3-2 match this time around. Leo and Vincent played incredible at 1 and 2 singles reversing their results from the earlier match, both winning in straight sets. The win for Vincent closed out his season record at an amazing 22-3 mark. The win for Leo pushed his individual record at 1 singles to 21-4 and moves him into the Sectional individual championship match to be played Saturday at Mt. Vernon at 9:00AM. Matt played a great player at 3 singles and battled, taking a lead 3-2 in the 2nd set, but his opponent was very tough all night long. Our doubles guys played really well too, Cormac subbed in for an ill Austin, with Cameron and 1 doubles and played one of the best teams we've seen all year. And Dylan and Trenton had early leads in both sets at 2 doubles. 1 Singles - Leo Underhill won 6-1, 6-4 2 Singles - Vincent Farris won 6-3, 6-4 3 Singles - Matt Hastings lost 0-6, 3-6 1 Doubles - Cameron Hastings/Cormac Stilwell lost 0-6, 0-6 2 Doubles - Trenton Boughton/Dylan Blackford lost 3-6, 1-6 Varsity record ends at 20-5 with 3 consecutive Sectional Titles. Would love to see Trojan Nation show out Saturday at Mt. Vernon in support of Leo.
