Girsl Soccer Drops HHC Match at Shelbyville

The girls soccer squad traveled to Shelbyville on Saturday for the first HHC match-up of the season, dropping the game 5-1. In the first half, the Golden Bears moved to an early two-goal lead before Chelsie Groce put in the Trojans' lone goal for the day. Carlee Lanzer assisted on the score, leaving a 3-1 match at halftime. The true star of the day was Trojan keeper Allison Perdue who, despite the 5-1 final score, had an impressive day in goal. In the first half alone, Allison had 12 of her 18 total saves. The girls in green play again on Tuesday August 27 when they host their first home match of the season against the Franklin County Wildcats. The game will start at 6:30PM.
