Girls Soccer Opens Season With Shutout Win

The girls soccer team traveled to Union County on Saturday to begin their 2024 season. The Trojans came away with a 6-0 victory. Allison Perdew (10) played in goal at the keeper position and held the Patriots to zero goals off of 3 total shots on goal. Carlee Lanzer (9) led the team in goals with 3 while Audra Cornett (12), Corinne Harvey (12), and Tay Thompson (12) all added goals of their own. Assists came from all over the field. Chelsie Groce (12) led with 2 assists with an assist each from Corinne Harvey (12), Audrey Tafoya (12), Bailey Stearns (12), and Macie Morehouse (10). The Trojans had 14 total shots on goal, putting the team's shooting percentage at roughly 43%. The girls soccer squad plays again on Tuesday August 20 at 6:00PM at Connersville.
