Trojan Tennis beats Greenfield-Central 4-1

The girls tennis team notched their second conference win of the season by defeating Greenfield Central Thursday night by a 4-1 score. The Blessinger sisters all took care of business quickly at the 3 singles positions. First off was Ashlynn at #3 with a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep of her opponent. Morley was next off at #1 with a 6-1, 6-1 win, followed by Peyton at #2 with a 6-1, 6-3 win. The #2 doubles team of Teagan Brown and Cadence Armacost finished off their opponents to secure the fourth point for the Trojans. 1S - Morley Blessinger won 6-1, 6-1 2S - Peyton Blessinger won 6-1, 6-3 3S - Ashlynn Blessinger won 6-0, 6-0 1D - Jaylee Bush/Emma Harris lost 4-6, 0-6 2D - Cadence Armacost/Teagan Brown won 6-1, 6-3 The JV team also picked up a win 6-4. Singles winners were Payton Dolce, Lauren Gilman, and Cloe Poe and the doubles teams of Watkuweis Watson/Chelsie Groce, Abby Moore/Anne Truman, Payton Dolce/Kat McCoy. Varsity record is now 8-2 overall and 2-2 in HHC play. JV is 6-2 overall. Next up is the Trojan JV Invitational this Saturday at the Luddy Tennis Center.
