Girls Tennis finish strong week with 3-1 record

The girls tennis team wrapped up a great Saturday of tennis defeating Blue River 4-1 to finish the first week of the season with a 3-1 record. Within 24 hours, the Trojans faced Hancock County's reigning champ in New Pal and last season's Sectional championship winners in Mississinewa and Blue River. Against the Vikings, the #2 doubles team of Teagan Brown and Cadence Armacost set the tone shutting out their opponents. Shortly after, Peyton Blessinger at #2 singles, #1 doubles team of Jaylee Bush and Payton Dolce, and #3 singles Ashlynn Blessinger finished of their opponents for the Trojans 4 points. 1S - Morley Blessinger lost 5-7, 1-6 2S - Peyton Blessinger won 6-2, 6-0 3S - Ashlynn Blessinger won 6-3, 6-2 1D - Payton Dolce/Jaylee Bush won 6-3, 6-3 2D - Cadence Armacost/Teagan Brown won 6-0, 6-0 The 3-1 Trojans host Eastern Hancock Wednesday, travel to Shenandoah Thursday, before playing in the Richmond Invitational on Saturday.
