The boys defeated a strong Cambridge City team with a 15-3 record on Thursday night 4-1. Vincent Farris played an incredible match at #1 Singles winning 6-1, 6-2. He became the 4th player to win a match at that coveted #1 singles spot this season joining Matt, Leo, and Jake. Caden Blackford also played a good match at #3 singles and both doubles teams took care of their matches in straight sets. 1S - Vincent Farris won 6-1, 6-2 2S - Jake Jenkins lost 3-6, 3-6 3S - Caden Blackford won 6-1, 6-3 1D - Matt Hastings/Leo Underhill won 6-4, 6-2 2D - Cameron Hastings/Austin Nunez won 6-4, 6-2 JV also picked up a nice win. Winners were Trenton Boughton, Dylan Blackford, and Cormac Stilwell at singles and the doubles team Jaxson Gulley and Steven Vail. Varsity record is now 14-6. Today, we travel back to Pendleton for the conclusion of our match on Monday that was stopped due to light. The Trojans and Arabians are locked in a 2-2 match with #1 singles Leo Underhill in the deciding match. Regular season closes out Saturday with a trip to Shelbyville for another HHC match.
