The girls played an experienced, senior-laden Spartan team last night on the road in some more cold conditions. We were able to prevail 3-2. Peyton and Ashlynn played great against very good and familiar seniors from Connersville. Emma and Cadence showed their dominance running two separate game streaks of 3 and then the last night games to close their match. Kaylee, Lydia, and Lauren all played well against tough opponents. 1S - Peyton Blessinger won 6-2, 6-3 2S - Ashlynn Blessinger won 6-2, 6-2 3S - Kaylee Tipton lost 3-6, 4-6 1D - Emma Harris/Cadence Armacost won 6-4, 6-0 2D - Lydia Razor/Lauren Gilman lost 3-6, 3-6 JV dropped their match 1-2. Adalyn Vail picked up a strong win at #1 singles. Varsity record is now 2-0 and JV is 1-1 and we play our first home match of the season Wednesday against Oldenburg Academy at 5:30.
