New Castle's season comes to an end with a 59-42 loss to Hamilton Heights in Sectional 24 at The Fieldhouse. The Trojans defeated the Huskies on Dec 5th at Hamilton Heights 71-68 in 3OT but started this game with a nearly six minute offensive drought scoring only 2 points in the quarter and falling behind by 13. After an even 2nd quarter the Trojans trailed by only 12 despite the slow start and leading scorer Mason Miller being held scoreless for the half. Miller finally got on the scoreboard midway through the 3rd quarter but the Trojans found themselves down by as many as 18. A spirited comeback saw the Trojans cut the lead to nine but would get no closer. The Huskies Jackson Mikesell led all scorers with 22 pts while Rees Knapp had 15. The Trojans were led by Ryne Sturgis who finished with 11. New Castle finishes with a record of 10-13 for the season.
