The New Castle Varsity Boys Basketball team loses a heartbreaker to the Noblesville Millers basketball team 54 to 52. The Trojans played a great game from the tip to the end just fell short at the end. Offensively, the Trojans did a great job of moving the basketball and running their sets against the Millers. We were taking good shots and executing our plays on the offensive end. Cole McDaniel led the way for the Trojans by making key plays and hitting big shots. Defensively, the Trojans played great on the defensive end as well. We mixed up our defenses and it caused the Millers to be out of sink all night. Late in the game the Trojans had opportunities to take the lead and get the victory, but could not hit free throws and open looks from outside. It was a tough loss, but loved how hard the Trojans played on both ends of the floor.

The Trojans led in scoring by Cole McDaniel had 26 points. Trey Miller had 15 points. Gavin Welch had 7 points. Caleb Grow added 4 points.

The New Castle Trojans are 3-6 to start the season. The New Castle Trojans will be back in action on tomorrow Saturday, January 9 at the Spartan Bowl against the Connersville Spartans. The Varsity game will tip off at 7:30pm. Go Trojans!!!
