The boys swim team lost to a very deep Anderson team last night. Even in a loss, the Trojans swam well. They were led by Connor Griffey with a first place in the 100 Backstroke and 3rd place in the 50 Freestyle. Ben Hall had a pair of 2nd place finishes in the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle. Luke Atterson had a 2nd place finish in the 200 Freestyle and 3rd place in the 100 Breaststroke. Jackson Criswell and Garrett Rusch each brought home a 2nd place finishes in the 100 Freestyle and Diving, respectfully. In the relays, the Medley Relay team of Griffey, Aidan Sipes, Hall, and Criswell finished 2nd. The 200 Freestyle Relay team of Andrew Lacey, Atterson, Criswell, and Hall also placed 2nd, and the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Sipes, Griffey, Lacey, and Atterson placed 3rd.
Much like the girls, the boys swam a lot of off events. We like to give the kids a break from swimming the same things repeatedly. The boys swam really well and had good times in their off events. I really like what they showed yesterday. Swimming things they normally don’t can be frustrating, but it can also be a fun break for the kids. They all did a great job.
