Corbin Malott shut down Shenandoah, throwing a complete game shutout and leading New Castle Trojans Varsity to a 10-0 victory on Tuesday
New Castle Trojans Varsity secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Dakota Durick, Malott, Nic Besecker, and Colin Holcomb each had RBIs in the frame.
New Castle Trojans Varsity notched six runs in the fourth inning. Durick, Malott, Besecker, and Holcomb all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
One bright spot for Shenandoah was a single by Gabe Young in the second inning.
Malott earned the victory on the mound for New Castle Trojans Varsity. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out ten.
Hadden Myers took the loss for Shenandoah. He went one inning, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one.
Durick led New Castle Trojans Varsity with two hits in three at bats. New Castle Trojans Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Triston Chesher led the way with two.
