The NC Middle School boys’ team had a challenge as they were missing their number one runner from last week. They took up the challenge and defeated Rushville 22 -36. Although Rushville took first place individually with Schinler’s 12:46, the Trojans’ Gavin Frazier and Bradley Henderson gave him a scare as they closed to within five seconds at the end. Fraizer was 12:51, one tick ahead of Henderson. Logan Slinker was next in for 4th. Those three runners all had much improved races from last week with Henderson and Slinker dropping a few seconds and Frazier holding even depite the higher temps and tougher course. Harry Callaway , Niki Greive, and Marshall Snell each showed improvement, placing 6th, 7th and 8th respectively. Jeremiah Alverado completed the team’s top seven, placing 13th, with a 31 second drop in time (which was the biggest drop on the boy’s side).
The boys face Richmond at Memorial Park next Monday, slated to start around 5:50 PM, following the girls’ race.
