Game Recap

The New Castle Lady Trojans lost a heartbreaking overtime contest to conference rival Pendleton Heights on Tuesday night, by the score of 50-49. Sophomore Ally Hall scored for the Arabians with just under seven seconds left, and the Lady Trojans couldn’t get a shot with the time remaining. New Castle led 33-26 heading into the fourth quarter, but was just 4-10 from the free throw line on the night, and 2-5 in those final ten minutes.

Leading the way once again was Cameron Tabor. The Junior Guard led all scorers with 24 points, but she also had her first double-double of the season with 10 rebounds, in addition to four assists. Senior Forward Haylie Graham was also in double figures with 12 points, and Senior Forward MacKayla Huckeby added 9 rebounds (4 offensive).

Pendleton Heights didn’t place anyone in double figures, but all seven players who entered the game each scored at least six points or more.

The Lady Trojans are back in action at home on Friday against Westfield High School. The Junior Varsity game begins at 6:00 p.m., with the Varsity contest to follow. Please come out and support the Lady Trojans!
