Game Recap

New Castle opened the 2017 season to a packed house at Neal Field. Unfortunately, the Trojans were on the short end of the scoreboard, losing 54-35.

Offensively for the Trojans, QB Niah Williamson completed 18 of 37 passes for 274 yards and 4 TDs, and rushed 16 times fora 72 yards and a TD. Luke Bumbalough caught 8 passes for 149 and all 4 TDs. Tytus Ragle caught 4 passes for 45 yards, Triston Chesher 3 for 37, and Nicholas Grieser 3 for 36. Dalton Clouse ran the ball 8 times for 49 yards and Gage Burk 2 for 18. The Trojans had 17 first downs in the game and 547 yards of total offense.

Defensively, Mason Hardwick led the way with 8 solo tackles, Grieser had 7 solo and 4 assists, Caleb Pierce had 3 tackles for loss, a sack, and a forced fumble.

New Castle plays next Friday at Rushville. Thanks to all the fans that came out and supported the Green and White. The atmosphere was electric with fireworks and the cannon being shot. The Trojans will be ready next week, as we are a work in progress.
