Meet Recap
New Castle Girls Cross Country placed 6th Saturday in the IHSAA Sectional held at Connersville with 136 points bringing their team season to an end. The meet was won by Rushville with 33 points. It was a tough day for the girls with their number 1, 5, and 7 runners running with injuries. Congratulations go to senior Shelby Mills 12th in 22:24, freshman Megan Mills 21st in 23:33 and senior Cate Brock 30th in 24:31 for qualifying for the Regional meet as individuals. They will be moving on to the Rushville Regional next Saturday at 10:30am. Also placing for New Castle were: senior Regan Millikan38th, sophomore Grace Lewis 47th, sophomore Cheyanne Lazzell 57th, and junior Mackenzie Vance 63rd. The girls end the regular season thru sectional with a 66-50 record.
