Tuesday night’s Regional Match started in the bright sunshine and ended under the lights in the dark evening sky. From start to finish, the Trojan Tennis Team scratched, fought, played every ball to the second bounce, and left everything they had on the court. Even with the outcome of the overall match already decided and both doubles teams only left on the courts, the Trojans played to the end. The Trojan JV squad, parents, fans, and varsity singles players watching from the sidelines were as loud during those two doubles matches as they were when the match first started and the team match was still up for grabs. They were there to support our Trojans from start to finish. Sports seasons are not often remembered by the end result, but rather the bus rides, practices, teammates, matches, and journeys along the way. So, while the season ended with a record-setting 19-3 mark; the character, perseverance, dedication, hard work, and memories of this fine team will last forever.
Thanks for letting me be a small part of it.
