Meet Recap

With finally getting some dry weather, the New Castle Trojan cross country teams took advantage to run some of their best times of the season. Leading the team to a 2nd place overall finish was sophomore Britton Adkins. Britton ran a personal best time of 16:52.8 placing 6th overall. Following Britton was seniors Chris Graham in 10th place (17:15.7), Jeff Melton in 13th (17:34.0), and junior Trevor Ragle in 14th (17:34.5). This strong front group was then followed by Jaycee Wilburn in 29th place (personal best time of 18:19.3), Ben Brock in 38th (personal best time of 18:43.5) and Tyler Vance in 50th (19:47.6).

Competing in the junior varsity race were: Chris DiBisceglie in 10th (personal best time of 18:58.2), Trey Williams in 12th (personal best time of 19:06.4), Jace Jackson in 31st (19:56.9), Benjamin Head in 42nd (personal best time of 20:35.4) and Corbin Hines in 64th (personal best time of 21:37.1).

The Trojans now look to begin the championship part of the season with the HHC meet on Saturday, October 1st at Pendleton Heights.
