Spectators at soccer, basketball, football, track meets and baseball games have often been greeted by a booming voice coming over the public address.  Most have grown use to seeing Chad Niccum at many events, and almost all do a double take when they realize that the voice they hear, though similar in style to Niccum, is that of New Castle senior Kaleb Gillock.  Over  the course of his four years at New Castle, Kaleb has gradually honed his craft and became an invaluable part of Trojan athletics.  On Thursday, April 10th, Gillock, joined by his family, mentors, and representatives from Indiana University East, signed on to become the voice of the Red Wolves, receiving a full-tuition scholarship.

In addition to announcing athletic events at New Castle, Kaleb also performed similar duties at Knightstown, and even branched out to perform similar duties at Earlham College.  Gillock also formed his own business, KWG Productions, under which he provided webcasts of various athletic contests, seeking out his own sponsors, and also served as a DJ for numerous events, including all New Castle High School dances.  Kaleb’s hard wor
