Game Recap
The New Castle Trojan Football team never got it's offense in gear, and the defense couldn't generate stops when need and overall the Trojans dropped the game Friday night to Muncie Central 34-6. Muncie Central's defense consistently stuffed the Trojan offense at the line of scrimmage and held the Green and White to only 96 total yards of offense. Coupled by the loss of quarterback/linebacker Caleb Smith, the Trojans never could get consistency on either side of the ball. After a scoreless 1st quarter, the Bearcat offense scored 21 points to go into halftime. Two more scores by the Central offense spelled the end for the Trojans as they could not muster enough strength to score until the 4th quarter with a Damon Dailey 7 yd TD run. By that time, the game was out of reach with the Bearcats up 34-6. Christian Firle recovered 2 Central fumbles for the game.
