Game Recap |
The New Castle Trojan Football team put together one decent half of football, but allowed the second half to be taken from them by the visiting Marion Giants and ultimately lost at Huffman Field 33-10. The Trojans got on the board early with a Ryan Jones 43 yard FG in the 1st quarter, but allowed a touchdown in the 2nd quarter after allowing a Giant 1st down off a penalty. The Trojans would respond with an unconventional score in the form of a pass from Damon Dailey to Dalton Engle, who snagged the pass despite going against three Giant defenders. The Trojans went into halftime leading 10-7, but a costly turnover on the kickoff would spell the beginning of the end for the Green and White. Marion scored 26 points in the second half to seal the game away from the Trojans. The Trojans (0-3) travel this Friday to Muncie Central (2-1) for a 7pm kickoff. |
