Game Recap
New Castle came back to tie Muncie Burris Thursday night after conceding a goal 26 minutes into the match. New Castle's goal came at the 54 minute mark when Ryan Jones played the ball across the goal to Tyler Broyles who found the back of the net. New Castle would continue to attack but was unable to score again. Sam Thompson had 7 saves in 80 minutes of work. Coach White said, "Our team came together after we gave up the goal to improve our focus and thinking on the field. Burris did a nice job of disrupting our style of play, but the players were able to adjust and earn a draw tonight. Two weeks ago we were unable to close out matches like this. I am excited to see continued improvement." New Castle is now 3-2-2 and travels to Bloomington for the Hoosier Cup Tournament. New Castle will play Washington Catholic at 10:10pm Friday, 12:40pm Saturday vs. Bedford North Lawrence and 6:40pm Saturday against Edgewood.
