Meet Recap

The New Castle Middle School girls track team concluded their season at the Hoosier Heritage Conference Meet at Pendleton on Wednesday. Emma Thurman was victorioous; winning the high jump by clearing 4 feet 10 inches. Thurman also earned 4th place in the 100 hurdles. Bailey Cox picked up 2nd place finishes in both the 1600 and 800. Anyssa Hall was 3rd in the 100 and 5th in both the 200 and long jump. Eliza Madden was 3rd in the discus. Nicole Wilkinson was 4th in the 400. Mackenzie Lewis was 4th in the 200 and 8th in the 100. The 1600 meter relay team of Madison Harter, Wilkinson, Grace Saunders, and Cox placed 3rd, while the 400 meter relay team of Samantha Ward, Ava Bell, Lewis and Hall placed 5th. The Trojans placed 3rd scoring 72 team points.
